Why Power generation in India is at 50Hz while in America
its 60Hz so is there any advantage/Disadvantage of this ??

The frequency is 60hz and 110v supply. but in india
is about 240v,50hz supply. for a particular load say 100kw
the current will be 0.416A. but in 60Hz the same load will
consume about 0.9A. here the thing is the heat produced in
the cable bcoz of the flow of current will be large in 60Hz
compare to India. since a cold country they can use
this level but not by India. And also specified for Country By WEAC Roles.

HELLO EVERYONE, I RECENTLY HAVE FOUND ONE PROBLEM, I WAS TAKING NO LOAD TRIAL OF AN HT MOTOR 920 MOTOR , 1440 RPM , 6.6 KV, WITH AUTO TRANSFORMER. AT 450 V, LOAD WAS 40 AMP AND SPEED WAS 250 RPM. BUT AS WE INCREASE VOLTAGE FROM 450 TO 480V, LOAD BECOME 41 AND SPEED REDUCED TO SOME RPM . SO WHICH PHENOMENON ACTED HERE FOR REDUCING SPEED.?? AND IS IT HAPPENING ALWAYS OR IT IS RARE? I ALSO HAVE FACED SUCH PROBLEM WITH FEW LT MOTOR ALSO.
