Why do woolen clothes keep us warm in winter ?

Woolen clothes have fine pores filled with air and wool are bad conductor of heat .thus the heat from our body does not flow out to the atmosphere and thus the woolen clothes keeps our body warm in the winter.

Does domestic/household used kerosene oil which is available in blue color (In India) can change its color over the due course of time say 8-10 years if keeping in plastic bottle?
