what is the use of tap density apparatus? why we calculate
it? what is the difference between the bulk density and tap
density?
Answer Posted / asm
It is tested to know the flow properties of the powder.this study is known as Rheology.practically,in the production when the powder is filled into the Hooper or some other it has to move and fill into a vial or should be punched to get a tablet.this tapped density value indicates whether the powder is free flowing or sticky like that.for such reasons we calculate tapped density.and we will have a specification limit etc.
