total 9 regions :: 8( regional zones :these are geographical regions)
1(Functional zone:reserved for army postal service)
pin had 6 digits :1st digit indicates REGION ,2nd digit indicates SUB-REGION ,3rd digit indicates SHORTING -DISTRICT WITH IN THE REGION.
