How to calculate the amount of Brick, cement & sand required
for 1 cum of 230mm thick brick work with ratio 1:5 please
give me an answer with detailed step
Answer Posted / sheraz
No of Bricks= volume of total brickwork / volume of brick= 1 / 0.002 =500 NO.s
Volume of mortar is 30% of volume of brickwork = 0.30 cum
dry volume of mortar = 0.30 x 1.54 = 0.462 cum
So cement Quantity = 1x0.462/1+5 = 0.077 cum
divide it by the volume of cement bag that is 0.0347 = 0.077 / 0.0347 = 2.22 bags
sand quantity = 5 x 0.462 / 1+5 = 0.385 cu m
