disintegration is the breakdown of tablet into granules &
the time taken for this is known as disintegration time.
for uncoated tablets-NMT 15 min.
for film coated tablets-NMT 30 min.
for sugar coated tablets-NMT 60 min.
for enteric coated tablets-NMT 120 min.in gastric fluid media & 60 min.in buffer media
