As per my knowledge. If u choose the tank diameter to a constant value then Hight of the tank varies, vice-versa.
FOR EXAMPLE: If u consider 2 ltr water bottle the base dia is 8 cm and height is 38.5 cm. if the dia varies height varies and vice-versa.
