Why red, yellow, green colours lamps are used in the traffic
control?
Answer Posted / ashhad khan
red colour has the longest wavelength so it will be visible from the longest distance compared to other colours
yellow and green has less wavelength then red but for these two colours our eye retina has highest sensitivity so our eye can see and detect those two colours with greater accuracy compared to other colours. Thus these three colours were selected for the signals.
