Hi the gain equal the variation of the out put variable devide the variation of the in put variation.
the proportionel BAND is the reverse of gain .
PB =1/k*100%
In the controller we find the proportional band with percent %
If we want to adjust the correct value of proportional band for the proportional controller ,we have to decrease the proportional band ,till we have cycling in process ,means out put of controller ,and the correct value for operationg process is the double of the cretical or cycling proportional band.
