why we use only sine wave in ac why we do not use other wave
forms
Answer Posted / padmanabh thakur
(i) After integration and differentiation, the characteristics of sine wave is not changed. If input to inductor is sinusoidal ac of 50 Hz then its output will also be sinusoidal of same frequency. Similarly for capacitor.
(ii) Addition and subtraction of two sine wave will be sinusoidal
(iii) Capability to produce rotating magnetic field
(iv) Compatible with the transformer, step-up or step-down
