What is the difference between class0.1 and class 0.1s
accuracy of current transformers
Answer Posted / vishwateja bodla
Current transformers with accuracy 0.1 shows reading within a composite error of 0.1% but when loaded above 50 to 60% in case of loading from 10 to 50 % error is more which is not acceptable by tarrif( number of units consumed) measure because of which power supply companies gets losses when coming to large consumers like factories so they recommend 0.1s class cts which deviate less than class 0.1 when loaded at 10 to 50%
