which of the following motors is non-self starting?

Answer Posted / harish

Hello guys...actually both single phase induction motor and sync motor r not self starting .capacitor is used in single phase induction motor to provide a phase shift so that it can produce a rotating electric field... Nd in sync motor interlocking with roating electric field is to be done ...which is achieved by using damper windings or by using auxiliary motor....

Thanks for reading guys...mail me at join.harishcsit@gmail.com...if u have any query... I will try to sort it out

3 shows a 415 V, 3-phase generator supplying a 3-phase 415/110 V transformer. Draw the individual and combined impedance diagrams to a base of 10 kVA. Determine the system fault kVA and the fault currents at the 415 V and 110 V busbars for short circuit faults on the transformer input or output terminals. Work in p.u. values of impedances.
