Target strength for mix proportioning
f’ck = fck 1.65 s
Where
f’ck = Target average compressive strength at 28 days,
fck = Characteristic compressive strength at 28 days,
s= Standard deviation
From Table 1 standard deviation, s = 5 N/mm2
Therefore target strength = 30 1.65 x 5 = 38.25 N/mm2.
Target Mean Strength for M30 ( IS 456)
Fck 0.825*Standard Deviation
30 0.825*5
