Security testing can be functional/non functional depending on the application/product we are testing:
For Example: If we are testing a web page with login functionality, then security testing is considered as non-functional testing.
Though security is important factor it doesn't come under core functionality of the application/product we are testing
Let us say, we are testing an Anti Virus... then the main functionality of this apll/prod is to give security...
here security testing is considered as a functional testing
