star delta starter : it is a set of electrical equipments used to control the current during the starting of induction motor as the starter operates the motor in star configuration in starting and then in delta configuration.
soft starter : it is a set of electronic components which control the nominal voltage of induction motor in order to control high current and torque during starting resulting in prevention of voltage dips and mechanical stress over the machinery .
