In sap bi we have two types of migration one is topdown approach and another one is bottomup approach but sap recomends topdown approach in this migration we have yhe following steps
1. migrate transfer rules
2.migrate dso update rule
3.migrate cube update rule
4.migrate data source
5.reactivate cube and transformation
