how much amp MCB is required for 1/2 kva power back up?

Answer Posted / vicky

1KVA = 1000VA
Therefore 1/2 Kva = 500va
For a single phase current
500/230=2.174
So the MCB you can put here is a 2.5AMP as it will not be possible to get a exact 2.174amp MCB
