i will give simple example so you can get easily ..........
requirement is a plastic chair to sit for person with 100 kg...
x company prepared
load testing : 50kg person fine, 70kg person fine then 100kg person....fine and base line......
stress testing: apart from the requirements sit a person with wait 150kgs and checks whether that chair can handle the maximum limit(upper limit)....
spike testing: one person already sit on chair with 80kgs and to check abnormal conditions add some weight like 30kgs, 50kgs ......(applications running with some load and sudden increase of load )
functional testing:
chair flexibility ...
four legs are touching floor and strong...
etc............ :) :)
