Why the tank of transformer is made rectangular not circular??

the rectangular TF is preferred always for 2 reasons,
* As the rectangular structure takes much space than the circular due to air circulation for cooling.
* Another main reason is that the mutual induction is possible(maximum) only when the 2 coils are held parallel(2winding Tf) or straight one below another(auto TF). For the circular arrangement, the magnetic coupling is minimum(parallel mag fields only @ 0 deg and 180 deg).
