RNC est connecté aux autres RNC par l’interface Iur or que les BSC ne sont pas connectées entre elles

Les protocoles supportés sont différents. Pour le BSC on a par exemple: LAPD, MTP, SCCP,… alors que pour le RNC on a par exemple NBAP, RRC, RLC-C, RANAP, …
