compressor is a device to compress the refrigerant, (refrigerant medium such as air and water and amonia is a good refrigerant dissolved in water because amonia has low boiling point).In vapour compression system, low pressure and temperature vapour refrigerant is compressed into high pressure and temperature vapour refrigerant in compressor
