What will happen to an engine with safety system running in
critical RPM?

Answer Posted / steamaway

"Critical RPM" is a range of RPM that is near starting revolution. Due to the nature of reciprocating machine, forces and momentum generated during engine running are not balanced, this causes vibration and torsion movement. Range of RPM at which this vibration/torsion are highest and it may damage the engine parts due to mechanical stresses caused by, is defined as "Critical RPM". If engine operates at this range for long time some weakest parts could be damaged.
