What is mean By Start Profile, Default Profile, Instance Profile ? What is difference between these ?

Start Profile contains starting parameters for the instance.Each instance contains its own profile.
Default profile contains global parameters that apply to all instances in SAP R/3 SID.
Instance Profile contains specific profile data.
If any changes are made in instance profile it will effect specific instance.
