when you write user exit for variables what does I_STEP do?
Answer Posted / adharsh
ISTEP is used in customer exit variable.
this is used to determine various actions to be performed while processing the value for a customer exit variable
ISTEP = 1 Before variable screen is popped.. IF we have to populate the value of customer exit variable based on the selection of other variable value, then we use this value for ISTEP. Ex: populate country values based on the continent selected.
ISTEP = 2 Process the value for variable.
ISTEP = 3 POst operations on selection of variable value.
