why voltages are added when batteries are connected in series?
Answer Posted / ishant aggarwal
It can be understood with the help of resistance as Every battery has internal resistance lets r1 r2 & r3, connected in series, thus R = r1+r2+r3. LETS output voltage is V and current is I Amps.
As by ohms law V=IR
V/I = v1/I + v2/I + v3/I ( current is same in series connection)
i.e. V= v1+v2+v3
Thus, voltages are added when batteries are connected in series.
