A relay is a switch which gets ON/OFF with respective to the input signal of it.It can be NC or NO depending upon the application.
A PLC is a Microcontroller which has a memory and Relay(s) Controller in which a Program(Our Application) is stored and it will analyse our application and send signal to relay(s).
