what will happen if diesel engine make to run with petrol
Answer Posted / rahul
diesel's self ignition temp is lesser than petrol's
so to raise the temp. of that respective fuel they employ two techniques
1: increasing the pressure
2:directly increasing the the temperature by sparkplugs
and hence petrols self ignition temp is high they employ both in petrol engine.. but comparatively diesel engines self ignition temperature will be high..
when perol is poured into the diesel engine it will not ignite... bcoz it wont reach its self ignition temperature...
thank you
