In ssc-cgl2012 exam i choosed 'assistant in MEA' as my 1st preference.Is it the best post offered by ssc?? Pls tell me its job prospects..

I have heared that there is no compulsion from MEA for foreign posting,i mean that if someone want to stay in india he will not be forced by MEA to go for foreingn posting.please tell me wether it is true or not.
