why any normal motor have to provide star & delta winding
distribution during starting?
Answer Posted / dinesh
As we know that the starting current of motor is high due
to absence of back EMF and low resistance of rotor. In
order to cotrol the starting current we use star coneection
for few time and than your mtotr runs in delta.
As we know that stating torque of induction motor is
directly proportional to square of supply voltage so your
voltage value becomes supply voltage/1.73 and stating
current is limited in star connection and then back EMF
comes into picture
