in my plant 100% feedwater control v/v is air to close but
due to instrument air fail, the valve opens but instead of
drum level high its get tripped in low low drum level.the
urv of level tx is 0 and lrv is -800.pls tell me the reason.
for such behaviour.

Air-to-close means that the valve fails open.
A boiler feedwater valve should 'fail open' so that the drum
level never drops too low, which can be an unsafe condition
and/or a damaging condition.
For that same reason, a boiler's feedwater valve should be
driven open on a low-low drum water alarm to prevent the
drum level from dropping too low and creating an unsafe
condition and/or a damaging condition.

Lux meter is the measuring device to measure the lux level of lighting fixture. in industrial sector two types of lighting fixture is being used as street lighting purpose 1. HPSV (Sodium) and 2. HPMV (Mercury). HPMV having white light which is an combination of red, blue and yellow colour, while HPSV haivng Yellow lighting. in HPSV red & blue colour will be absent. during measurement of the lux level of HPSV and HPMV fixture. 1. Lux meter can measure the actual lux level of both fixture? 2. or it will show false reading for HPSV fixture light as it has only yellow light present. please give me answer
I was working on calibrating turbidity transmitters endress+hauser at effluent polishing plant. We calibrated using NTU buffers. What happened is that when we immersed the sensor, everytime we raise and lower the sensor gradually, the reading will vary.my question is that is there any specifications on what is the required distance from the bottom of the container with buffer to the face of the sensor? Is it ok to install the sensor in a medium which has turbulence specially if bubbles are present?
