a. Response of increase or decrease in sodium and other
ions in the blood.
2.Aldosterone
a. Reabsorption of Na
b. Reabsorption of water
c. Stimulates secretion of potassium from the blood.
3. ANH (atrial natriuretic hormone)
a. Influences water absorption in the kidney.
b. Promotes secretion of sodium into the kidney tubules.
c. Acts as an antagonist to aldosterone.
