In IR spectometer no lamp will be used.
IR radiation is produced by electrically heating an inert
solid material in the temperature range of 1500-2000k.The
heated material then emits IR radiation.

Ex: 1. Nernest glower - A cylinder of rare earth oxides
2200 k temperature

2. Glober - Silicon carbide rod 1500 k temp

3. Incandescent wire

4. Nichrome

5. Light emitting diodes
