when ever someone asks how many test cases u can write per day, u reply should be like this.
it depends on the complexity of the requirements or test scenarios (as we must have developed the test scenarios prior to start writing test cases).
still if he is stick to his question about the number of t.c u can say around 15 to 20 as a safer side.
and the role after finished testing..
u can say.. we report the founded bugs asap at the time when we get the bugs. and then track the status of the bug till closure. and then finally we prepare reports like TER(test execution report) and RTM(requirement tractability matrix) and what all the reports clients asked for.
