What is Lockout Relay and what is use of it in electrical
installation
Answer Posted / manikandan krishnan
As it name says Relay contacts gets locked when there is a fault in the circuit. And it is the kind of mechanical switch. Once fault is cleared then only we can able to make the circuit closed by resetting the latching pin in the relay manually.without clearing fault , it wont allow to energize the closing coil of the breaker(ACB) even though u try to reset.
