That depends on type of flow meter that has to be calibrated . Will let you how a flow meter in lab is calibrated . Set up requires and piping arrangement test meter in line with a master flow meter ( ex turbine flow meter). And a prover is connected to that master meter. Basically test meter reading is compared with the master meter , error value is determined.

Why does a pressure gauge installed on reactor, doesn't have any vent line below to release the pressure? Is it any kind of designing mistake or it actually does not require any vent line? And if it does not require any vent line below it then how we are gonna release the pressure built inside the pressure gauge?
