A 12.5 hp slip ring motor taking high initial current and its MPCB is
getting open.what may be the reason?

what will be the motor rating and weather it is connected to load or no loaded...?
if there is no load then check for motor,
if it is loaded then check for mpcb and also check for mpcb is good or bad..then replace new mpcb of proper rating..
