ADVANTAGES;
Lack of vascular tissue.
Meristem have high metabolic activity.
High auxin concentration.
DISADVANTAGES;
Isolation is difficult.
Low survival rate $ regeneration time for explants may be
long(about 8 months for potato explant).
Removal of explant causes a setback in the growth of mother
plant.
