What are Drift and Diffusion currents?

Answer Posted / gaurav

drift current is the respose of electrons and holes to the
electric field. This occurs untill the carrriers available.
Holes moves in the direction of electric field while
electrons moves in the opposite directin of field.

diffusion current is holes and electrons moving from areas
of high concentration to the area of lower
concentration.this occurs untill they are uniformly
distributed.
