wat is the advantage of increse in frequency?how the
powersupply range decreses as the frequency increses?like
in america,it uses 110 ac and 60 hz?

Answer Posted / krishna sai

with the increase in the frequency by keeping the kva rating of the machine constant then the size of the machine can be reduced.
on the other hand during the design stage if the frequency is increased then the KVA rating of the machine will be increased as KVA proportional to EI where E(induced voltage) is proportional to f. Power supply voltage range must be decreased along with the increase in frequency so that the machine will be safe without getting into saturation

Hello everyone, somebody knows what is a "surplice power" ? The hole phrase is: "This rating is appropriate for a generator set paralleled with an infinite bus e.g. a national electrical supply network or grid where the generator set is run at 100% load, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and any surplice power is exported into the grid" Thanks in advance.
