what is pure resistive circuit and pure inductive circuit
Answer Posted / sudhanva
If the angle between current phasor and voltage phasor becomes equal to zero then such circuits are called pure resistive and if that angle becomes equal to 90 , it is pure inductive and if the angle becomes -90 , it is pure capacitive. Here current phasor is taken as reference..

Is a contactor (or master relay) required between incoming lines and a VFD? The question goes to safety. If a contactor were used before the VFD and an e-stop engaged then the motor will coast to a stop (i.e. VFD loses power) instead of stopping much faster if the VFD braking fucntion were used. It would make more sense to keep power on the VFD.
would the same effect be achieved by reversing the connection to one winding of the induction motor 3-phase?

1. for eg, capacitor is used for many purposes(it act as filter, oscillator, bypass capacitor, memory storage etc...) 2. Please tell me some example circuits for different uses of capacitor( whenever and whereever and however we used capacitor as a filter, oscillator tuning etc..) 3. similarly for inductor and resistors(it act as what?) and when and how we want to act as like that?, and how we can used these components depends upon our requirments with example circuits and explanation? design to act as these components depends
