What i am thinking is C=EA/D E : Permeability
So when a metalic film is introduced the it ll make two capacitors half of thickness connected in series.
Ceq = C1 + C2 where C1 = C2 = EA/(D/2)= 2C
So Ceq = 2c||2c = C
