marketing starts from the beginning even before the manufacturing of a product and continues till the after sales services.
marketing starts when the product is just an idea in the manufacturers mind and has not taken any shape,
a marketer at that point of time conducts market research to find out "what are consumer needs?" how should the marketer manufacture it? what is the price that a customer will be willing to pay for such a product? according to that he will set a cost for which the product should be made so as to keep genuine margins. further a marketer will determine the target audience for the particular product and how he will position the product in front of its target people.
he will promote advertise make new customers and sell the product and after selling he will retain his existing customers by providing them good services helping the customers regrading the product or installing the product or keeping check of how the product is working or do whatever is required in case of his product so that the customer is satisfied and looks out for more purchases from the same manufacturer.
therefor marketing is not just about selling the product but identifying what a consumer needs and then providing the with an appropriate solution in an apt way, advertising and promoting and selling the product and then taking care of customers concerns in the best way possible
