In Chemistry, the substance or material which doesn't change its physique or state in accordance with the Changes that occurred in surroundings. Generally, there are three phases that possessed by substances, i.e.,
1. Solid State
2. Liquid State
3. Gaseous State
But now a days one state also be discovered by scientists, i.e., Plasma State.
But in Electrical Engineering aspects, for an AC Supply wave there are 3 phases i.e. R, Y & B. The phase difference of each phase is 120 degree displaced. i.e. its changes its phase in accordance with time, so that for AC System it produced fluctuating or rotating phase. But For DC system there is no phase difference, the output wave given by dc system is no -ve cycles and also no rotating effect for phase. There for for DC system the phase is always become stationary.
