There is another way of calculating the specific weight (or unit weight) of a rebar. Especially for those who are interested of rebars less than 10mm of dia.
the way is to calculate it mathematically knowing that the

a.] Density of steel rebars is 7851 Kg/m3.
b.] 8mm Diameter Rebar
A.] Formula:-
Unit weight [Kg/m] = Cross-Sectional Area [m2] x Density [kg/m3]
B.] Answer:-
Unit weight [Kg/m] = (22/7)x(radius)2 x 7851 kg/m3
Unit weight [Kg/m] = 3.14 x 16 x 7851 kg/m3
Unit weight = 0.395 Kg/m
8mm dia 1m weight = 0.395kg
Weight of Rebar = .0395[Kg/m] x Rebar length
8mm dia 3.66m length Rebar Weight ?
= .0395[Kg/m]x 3.66 [m]
= .14457[Kg]
