we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the
voltage for various electronics components why can't we
step up the voltage from 12/230v if we can shall we use the
voltage for domestic single phase supply

we can step up 12v to 230v but we cant use it for domestic single phase supply . we all know that V1/V2 = I2/I1
the amount of current comes from electronics device will be lower when we use step up again the voltage to 230v. you will attain the 230v but not the current needed by the equipment
