Is an automated electrical power isolator, which under
fault/heathy conditions, breaks or make circuit of the
protected load or equipment through the command of
relay "refered to as the brain of electrical protection".
The combination of Circuit Breaker, Protection/Metering
Relay, Current/Voltage Transformers and Fuses make a
switchgear. Circuit Breaker alone CANNOT be regarded as a
Switchgear, as all the above mensioned equipment work
antagonistically to bring about the end result of
electrical system

In EHV transmission line a neutral grounding reactor is often placed at neutral point of shunt reactors. What is the recommended protection for this neutral grounding reactor? Should I use a fast closing switch to bypass neutral grounding reactor when this protection operates?
