what happened if power factor is "1"

Answer Posted / avinash gupta

As we know.....
pf is angle between voltage and current...so if its value is 1 means...active power= vicosfi..if cosfi=1
cosfi=cos0..then fi=o....active power=vi

reactive pwer=visinfi so reactive power=0..thier is no losss of absobtion of power in reactive mode..so its purely resistive circuit....

powe factor must be 1 for neglecting loss...we have to make pf as close as 1 by diffrent capicitor using method incresing xc...
