Diffrence between centrifugal & recipocating pump?
Answer Posted / kirankumarrds
1.Centrifugal pump initially increases kinetic energy of the
fluid, later on it will be converted to pressure energy
because of the spiral design of the pump
2.Reciprocating pump directly adds KE to the fluid
3.Reciprocating pumps are used to deliver fluids at low flow
rates with high pressure energy, where as Centrifugal pump
delivers fluids in high flow rates at moderate pressure energies
