Hysteresis loss is a kind of iron loss=K*f*phi^1.2
where k=hysteresis constant
f= frequency of supply
phi= maximum flux density in core material
when magnetic material is subjected to magnetic field it is magnetized again if we remove the magnetic field the magnetization of material does not become to zero it is because of some magnetic domain remains aligned in the
direction of magnetic field.
so the additional energy is required to remove that
magnetization and dissipate as heat which is called as
hysteresis loss
