Maturity model can be viewed as a set of structured levels of how well the behavior,practices and processes of an organization are reliably producing the required outcome.has 5 levels.
1.Initial(chaotic environment):
-no documentation.
-no clear idea of process.
-uncontrolled and reactive manner by users.
2.Repeatable(use of previous process):
-process of previous is adapted.
-consistent results.
-process possibilities are unlikely rigorous,maintained
during stress.
3.Defined:
-well documented.
-define set of standard process.
-establish consistency of process performance
4.Managed:
-using metrics.
-controlling the standard processes.
-adjust and adapt the process for some projects.
-capability is established in this level.
5.Optimizing:
-continually focus is on improving process performance.
